Presbyterian Church of Wales

The Presbyterian Church of Wales, formerly known as the Calvinistic Methodist Church of Wales was born out of the 18th Century Revival led by such Spirit led men as Daniel Rowlands, Howell Harris and William Williams.

We are a bilingual Church, with the majority of our churches worshipping in Welsh. The Scripture and Prayer are central to our faith, and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we aim to develop the faith of our members, and to bring others to a living faith in Jesus Christ. This happens through our local ministers and churches, and also on a national level.

Our active Children and Youth Service reaches out with the Gospel to youngsters through our youth centre at Coleg y Bala, and Coleg Trefeca serves as a Lay Training Centre. There are also six groups of young people which meet on a regular basis throughout Wales as part of the Souled Out programme.

The Mission Board is responsible for projects and workers throughout Wales.

The Church shows its love towards others through support for Christian Aid with a special appeal held every 5 years. Strong links forged in the past with North East India through our missionaries are still maintained, now through CWM, and we greatly value the fellowship and support of the CWM family.
