Shaping the Church for Mission
Shaping the Church for Mission is a priority for CWM Europe. Including enabling and encouraging people to form new expressions of church and equipping existing congregations for mission.
The programme includes training events in areas of discipleship, leadership development and stewardship.
The Region organises an annual conference called Window on the World which is open to people of all ages. The conference explores mission themes, gives opportunities to engage with the world church and the challenges facing people of faith today.
Mission 21
A consultation on church planting 'Mission 21', a collaboration between CWM Europe , Together in Mission, Wycliffe and the Methodist Church. 17th - 20th November in Bath, 20 delegates from CWM Europe churches will join 150 others from around the UK to talk about church planting and new ways of being church.
The consultation will give participants from CWM Europe churches the opportunity to discover and develop skills for church planting. There will also be occasion for participants to suggest ways in which CWM Europe can better support church planting and how member churches can co-operate together.
A consultation on Church Planting is being planned for the winter of 2009 and a workshop on evangelism will take place in the first months of 2010.
Evangelism Workshop
In January 2010 30 people from CWM Europe met to share stories and resources about faith sharing. The group heard how faith sharing happens in different contexts and had opportunities to make plans and agreements to make faith sharing a more intentional part of church life.
The workshop will meet again in January 2011 in London to hear how the CWM Europe member churches have developed their hopes and plans.
